An exceptional Louis XVth style carved and painted armoire, two panels signed ‘J Godon 1883’. Jean Joseph Julien Godon was a French painter and decorative artist, born Paris 1839. He made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1868 (ref: Bénézit: Dictionary of Artists).
